Why investors enquire
A secured lending arrangement with supporting legal documentation, including a described solicitor's undertaking.
Capital finances legal case preparation and processing — revenue from legal fees, not property sales.
Linked to the Church of England National Redress Scheme: £150m approved by General Synod, Royal Assent December 2025, independently administered.
Scheme-funded legal fees of up to £5,000 per eligible case, with estimated processing costs of £1,000–£2,000.
Cases handled through law firms regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
A portfolio of eligible cases is intended to support repayment obligations.
How the model earns
The scheme funds legal representation for each applicant, capped at £5,000 per case and paid by the scheme — not the applicant. The margin after processing costs is intended to service loan note obligations, case by case.
Figures are estimates and not a forecast of returns. Case volumes and timings are not guaranteed.
